About the role
The Business Development Officer will drive growth for a company operating in the healthcare and laboratory equipment sector. You will identify new market opportunities, build strategic partnerships, and support the sales team to meet revenue targets across multiple Nigerian regions.
Key responsibilities
- Research and identify potential clients, partners, and new market segments in both private and public sectors.
- Generate qualified leads, conduct product presentations, demonstrations, and negotiate contracts.
- Prepare tailored business proposals, quotations, and tender documents.
- Maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective clients, providing after‑sales support and ensuring satisfaction.
- Conduct market research, competitor analysis, and provide feedback on pricing and product performance.
- Collaborate with marketing and technical teams to plan promotions, exhibitions, and trade‑show participation.
- Meet and exceed sales and revenue targets, submit weekly and monthly performance reports, and provide accurate forecasts.
- Negotiate terms, ensure compliance with company policies, and coordinate payment follow‑up with the Accounts team.
Required profile
- Minimum HND or BSc in Marketing, Business Administration, Science or a related field.
- 1–3 years of relevant experience in business development or sales, preferably in healthcare or laboratory equipment.
