Investment Executive

About the role

The Investment Executive will support the management and monitoring of the company’s investment portfolio across fixed‑income, equities and money‑market instruments. You will work closely with finance, treasury, risk and actuarial teams to ensure optimal performance and regulatory compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in managing and monitoring the investment portfolio, evaluating opportunities based on return, liquidity, risk and duration.
• Prepare investment appraisal papers, credit analyses and actionable recommendations for senior management.
• Monitor economic indicators, interest rates, inflation and capital‑market developments affecting holdings.
• Ensure investments stay within asset‑allocation limits, liquidity requirements and internal risk guidelines.
• Prepare regular portfolio valuation, income and yield performance reports and reconcile them with accounting and custodian records.
• Maintain professional relationships with banks, asset managers, brokers, custodians and regulators.

Required profile

• B.Sc. in Finance, Economics, Accounting or related discipline.
• 2–5 years of experience in investment management, treasury, asset management or corporate finance, preferably in insurance or financial services.
• Professional certifications such as CFA, CIS, ICAN or ACCA (or in‑view) are an advantage.

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of fixed‑income and money‑market instruments.
• Financial modeling and portfolio risk analysis.
• Advanced MS Excel proficiency.
• Understanding of Nigerian capital market regulations.
