General Manager - Fintech (Lagos)

About the role

A growing Nigerian company operating across fintech, financial services and payments is recruiting, on behalf of its partner, an experienced General Manager to lead its fintech business unit. The role reports to the Managing Director, is fully onsite in Lagos and carries a monthly salary of N1,500,000.

Key responsibilities

• Lead fintech operations and drive business growth and profitability.
• Oversee payment processing, transaction flows, settlements and platform performance.
• Build scalable processes, systems and operational controls.
• Ensure compliance with CBN regulations and applicable financial services requirements.
• Coordinate product, technology, compliance, risk and commercial teams.
• Translate business objectives into operational plans and report performance to the Managing Director.

Required profile

• Proven leadership experience in fintech, payments or digital banking.
• Experience leading cross-functional teams and managing a business unit, or a track record of building or improving processes in a growing business.
• A hands-on, commercially minded leader who balances growth, operations and risk.
• Comfortable working fully onsite in Lagos.

Required skills

• Strong understanding of payment infrastructure, transaction processing and settlements.
• Good knowledge of CBN regulations and financial services compliance.
