Field Sales Representative - Footwear & Apparel Wholesale

About the role

Sichuan Kerui Mi Technology Co., Ltd. is looking for a Field Sales Representative to visit wholesalers, distributors and other bulk buyers in Nigeria. The role works closely with the China sales team to turn customer visits into trial orders and repeat business in the footwear, clothing and bags sector.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and visit wholesalers, distributors and other customers with bulk purchasing needs, following the company's market development priorities.
• Understand each customer's business, purchasing requirements, preferred products, styles, sizes, quantities, budget and supply difficulties.
• Collect information on bestselling products and approximate wholesale prices and report it to the China sales team.
• Arrange appointments and hold live video meetings with the China team, including product presentations from showrooms and warehouses.
• Analyse customer needs and pain points after each meeting and jointly develop a tailored trial order proposal.
• Follow up on trial orders, collect feedback and work with the China team to develop repeat and larger-volume orders.
• Maintain accurate customer records and submit visit reports, market updates and agreed next steps.

Required profile

• Practical experience in footwear, clothing, bags, wholesale sales or distribution; candidates with established contacts among wholesalers or distributors get preference.
• Clear understanding of how local wholesalers, distributors and retailers source and sell products.
• Strong knowledge of the relevant markets in the base city, and of the footwear and apparel markets in Lagos, Onitsha, Kano or Aba; experience across several of these cities gets preference.
• Ability to find customers independently, conduct face-to-face visits and follow up consistently.
• Honesty, reliability and the ability to give clear, factual reports.

Required skills

• Knowledge of bestselling product categories, styles and approximate wholesale and retail prices, and the ability to explain price differences based on quality, packaging and quantity.
• Ability to propose a practical customer development plan based on local market conditions.
• Use of WhatsApp, video calls and basic spreadsheets.
