Export Sales Officer – FMCG Export Markets

About the role

The Export Sales Officer will drive sales growth across the assigned export markets (Niger & Chad) for a leading FMCG company. The role involves developing new business opportunities, managing the full export sales cycle, and ensuring compliance with international trade regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and acquire new international customers to expand export markets.
• Manage the complete export sales process from prospecting to order fulfillment and relationship management.
• Prepare pricing proposals, negotiate commercial terms, and close sales agreements.
• Coordinate export logistics, including shipment planning, freight tracking, and documentation.
• Ensure compliance with trade regulations and prepare required documents such as Form NXP, commercial invoices, certificates of origin, and bills of lading.
• Build and maintain relationships with distributors, freight forwarders, and regulatory agencies.
• Gather and analyse market intelligence, competitor activities, and customer insights to support strategy.
• Provide regular sales forecasts, performance reports, and market updates to internal teams.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in International Business, Marketing, Logistics, Business Administration or related field.
• 3–5 years of experience in export sales, FMCG, supply chain or shipping operations.
• Strong understanding of international trade regulations, customs procedures and export documentation.
• Fluency in English; proficiency in French and/or Hausa is a significant advantage.
• Excellent negotiation, communication and analytical abilities.

• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
