Engineering Manager (RCL)

About the role

FairMoney is seeking an experienced Engineering Manager to lead a team building and scaling reliable technology solutions for its lending and credit products. You will combine strong technical expertise with people leadership, working closely with Product, Data, Risk and other stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, mentor and develop a high‑performing engineering team, fostering a collaborative culture.
• Own technical direction and delivery of backend systems that support lending and credit services.
• Drive design, development and scaling of distributed, event‑driven services and ensure they are maintainable and resilient.
• Set engineering standards for code quality, testing, deployment, observability and system reliability.
• Support incident management, root‑cause analysis and continuous improvement of operational performance.

Required profile

• 7+ years of software engineering experience, with significant backend development.
• 2+ years of experience managing or leading engineering teams.
• Hands‑on coding ability; you will design and code new systems and lead by example.
• Proven experience delivering complex technical projects from design through production.
• Strong communication and stakeholder‑management skills across technical and non‑technical teams.
