Capital Raise Analyst

About the role

A Capital Raise Analyst is needed to support fundraising strategy, investor engagement and deal execution for clients across Africa. The analyst works directly with founders, funds and senior advisors to prepare investor materials, analyse financials and structure capital raise efforts from end to end.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct financial and market analysis to support capital raise strategies
• Prepare investor materials including pitch decks, one-pagers and data rooms
• Build financial models, valuation summaries and fundraising pipelines
• Identify and map relevant investors (VCs, PEs, DFIs, family offices)
• Support investor outreach, follow-ups and CRM management
• Take part in deal structuring, term sheet reviews and closing support
• Track market trends and funding activity across African markets
• Work with client founders to refine messaging and positioning

Required profile

• 2-4 years of experience in investment banking, venture capital, financial advisory or startup finance
• Familiarity with the fundraising lifecycle and investor expectations
• Strong attention to detail and ability to handle multiple deals at once
• Comfortable working with early-stage companies and high-growth environments

Required skills

• Strong financial modelling and Excel/Google Sheets
• Excellent writing and presentation skills
• Bonus: knowledge of African investment ecosystems and tools such as DocSend, Affinity, PitchBook, Airtable or Notion; CFA, ACCA or similar certification (not mandatory)
