Audit Manager

About the role

A full-time Audit Manager position based in Lagos, responsible for planning, coordinating and executing audit engagements while supervising the audit team and advising management on financial reporting and internal controls.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate and execute audit engagements in line with professional standards.
• Review audit working papers, reports and recommendations for accuracy and compliance.
• Assess internal controls, risk management processes and governance structures and recommend improvements.
• Supervise and mentor audit team members, ensuring knowledge transfer and performance management.
• Liaise with clients, regulatory authorities and other stakeholders on audit matters.
• Stay up to date with auditing standards, regulations and best practices.
• Provide value-added insights to management to strengthen financial reporting and internal controls.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• Mandatory professional certification (ACA, ACCA, CPA or equivalent).
• Minimum of 6-8 years of progressive audit experience, including at least 2 years in a managerial capacity.
• Strong knowledge of ISA, IFRS and local regulations.
• Ability to manage multiple assignments and meet strict deadlines; excellent analytical, leadership and interpersonal skills; high integrity.

Required skills

• Familiarity with Caseware software.
• Knowledge of ISA and IFRS.
