About the role
We are looking for an experienced Regional Sales Manager to lead sales performance across Lagos and surrounding territories. The role involves developing regional strategies, managing distributor relationships and driving revenue growth in the FMCG sector.
Key responsibilities
- Develop and implement effective regional sales strategies to achieve business objectives and revenue targets.
- Lead, coach, and motivate sales managers, sales representatives and field sales teams to deliver outstanding performance.
- Manage and strengthen relationships with distributors, wholesalers, and key retail accounts.
- Identify new business opportunities and expand market penetration within the region.
- Monitor sales performance, market trends, competitor activities, and customer needs to inform business decisions.
- Ensure product availability, visibility, and effective merchandising across all channels.
- Prepare and present periodic sales forecasts, reports, and market intelligence to management.
- Collaborate with the marketing, supply chain, and finance teams to support business growth initiatives.
- Drive execution of trade promotions and marketing campaigns within the region.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and ethical standards.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Sales, Economics or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years’ proven experience in sales management within the FMCG industry, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
- Strong understanding of route‑to‑market strategies, distributor management and channel development.
- Demonstrated track record of consistently achieving or exceeding sales targets.
- Excellent leadership, negotiation, communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving capabilities.
- Ability to travel extensively within the assigned region.
