About the role
Kents Marvel Ltd is hiring a full-time Chef in Lagos, Nigeria. The role covers preparing daily meals, planning menus and keeping the kitchen running smoothly.
Key responsibilities
- Prepare daily meals, including breakfast, lunch and dinner
- Prepare a variety of Nigerian, continental and international dishes
- Develop weekly menus and suggest meal options
- Plan grocery requirements and manage kitchen inventory
- Maintain excellent kitchen hygiene and food safety standards
- Ensure timely meal preparation and presentation
- Maintain kitchen equipment and keep the kitchen clean and organised
Required profile
- Proven experience as a private chef, household chef or professional cook
- Strong knowledge of Nigerian and continental cuisines
- Excellent hygiene, organisation and time-management skills
- Ability to work independently and show initiative
- Trustworthy, respectful, discreet and professional; references from previous employers are an advantage
