About the role
Simplygood Management And Services is hiring a full-time Kitchen Assistant in Lagos (Marina) within the hospitality and catering sector. The role supports chefs and cooks with day-to-day food preparation and kitchen organisation.
Key responsibilities
- Assist chefs and cooks with daily food preparation, including washing, peeling, slicing, chopping and sorting vegetables, fruits and other ingredients.
- Help prepare meat, fish, chicken and other food items, and measure and arrange ingredients before cooking.
- Arrange food items for cooking and serving, and help pack takeaway orders when required.
- Receive and arrange kitchen supplies, and ensure ingredients are properly stored.
- Help organise refrigerators, freezers and storage shelves.
- Monitor ingredients and report low stock levels to the Head Chef; use older stock first and report spoiled, expired or damaged items.
- Avoid waste and make sure unused ingredients are covered and stored properly.
Required profile
- Minimum of 2 years of experience.
- Minimum of an OND in a related field.
