Senior Legal and Compliance Officer

About the role

The Senior Legal and Compliance Officer will lead the design, implementation and oversight of the company’s compliance framework across multiple business units. Reporting to senior management and the Board, you will act as a trusted advisor on regulatory obligations, risk exposure and best‑practice compliance in sectors such as finance, IT, foreign exchange, cryptocurrency and oil & gas.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement and continuously improve enterprise‑wide compliance programs for all business lines.
• Monitor regulatory developments, update frameworks and ensure adherence to local and international requirements.
• Lead regulatory engagement, serve as primary contact with regulators and manage examinations.
• Conduct risk assessments, audits, gap analyses and oversee internal investigations of compliance breaches.
• Develop, review and enforce policies, deliver training and produce periodic compliance reports for senior leadership.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Law, Finance, Business Administration or a related discipline.
• Compulsory ACAMS/DCP certification.
• Minimum 7 years of experience in compliance, risk management or regulatory roles, including at least 2 years in a leadership capacity.
