Manager, Legal and Compliance Services

About the role

As Manager, Legal and Compliance Services you will ensure Reliance Health operates safely and within the law across all markets, providing practical legal guidance and translating regulatory requirements into clear processes.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as the first point of contact for internal teams seeking legal guidance.
• Review business proposals, product changes, and partnerships for legal risk.
• Translate legal and regulatory requirements into clear, practical guidance.
• Manage external counsel relationships, including briefing and cost control.
• Draft, review, and negotiate commercial contracts including vendor and partnership agreements.
• Maintain a contract register tracking obligations, renewals, and timelines.
• Manage regulatory filings, license applications, and correspondence with authorities.
• Monitor regulatory developments and assess their impact on the business.

Required profile

• LL.B + BL (Call to Bar required) with minimum 5 years post‑qualification experience in corporate law, compliance or related role.
• Experience in a regulated industry such as health insurance, financial services or fintech.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills and sound understanding of corporate governance principles.

Required skills

• Strong experience drafting, reviewing and negotiating commercial contracts.
• Experience engaging with regulators, including filings, correspondence and audits.
• Ability to interpret legislation and translate it into practical internal guidance.
