Project Electrical Engineer (Nigeria)

About the role

SPIE Services Nigeria Limited is seeking a Project Electrical Engineer to act as the resident in‑house electrical authority for its facilities across Nigeria. The role covers the complete electrical lifecycle of capital projects and facilities‑management services, from concept design through construction supervision, quality assurance and as‑built documentation.

Key responsibilities

• Develop original conceptual electrical designs and detailed drawings in response to project briefs and company requirements.
• Produce and maintain shop drawings, change‑control drawings and all electrical working documents throughout construction.
• Review and validate electrical designs submitted by external consultants for compliance with scope, specifications and standards.
• Provide day‑to‑day on‑site supervision of electrical construction work, ensuring contractors follow approved drawings and specifications.
• Conduct QA/QC inspections, identify defects, supervise testing and approval of materials, and prepare site inspection reports, punch lists and progress updates.
• Serve as the resident site electrical engineer for special projects and facilities‑management works, offering technical guidance and project‑management support.

Required profile

• Seasoned professional capable of independently managing electrical design, documentation and construction supervision across multiple sites.
• Strong understanding of electrical standards, specifications and quality‑control procedures.
• Ability to coordinate with external consultants, contractors and internal stakeholders.
