Head of Benefits Processing Centre

About the role

The Head of the Benefits Processing Centre (BPC) leads the back‑office function that disburses benefits to eligible clients, analyses payments and produces transaction reports. This senior position ensures that all benefits operations are accurate, timely and compliant with regulatory standards.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee efficient administration of benefits disbursement, payment analysis and reporting.
• Design and implement control measures to guarantee accuracy and timeliness of all benefit payments.
• Ensure strict adherence to internal policies, pension regulations and audit requirements.
• Manage high‑volume transaction processing, including NEFT and other payment platforms, and resolve failed or returned transactions.
• Maintain comprehensive documentation, checklists and process records for all benefit categories.

Required profile

• First degree in a related field; postgraduate qualification in finance, business or a quantitative discipline is an advantage.
• Minimum 10 years of experience managing benefits transaction requests and ensuring complete, on‑time processing.
• Advanced knowledge of pension operations, withdrawal benefits, programmed withdrawals, annuities and death benefit processing.
• Proven track record in documenting benefits processes and preparing payment checklists.
• Deep understanding of pension regulations, compliance requirements and regulatory reporting.
