Head of Aftersales – Workshop Management

About the role

The Head of Aftersales will lead VI’s nationwide aftersales business, overseeing service, parts, warranty and customer support. The role drives profitability, ensures high workshop performance and delivers exceptional customer satisfaction across Nigeria.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute strategies to meet or exceed monthly revenue targets for service, parts and body shop.
• Monitor workshop profitability, analyse cost structures and implement cost‑control measures.
• Oversee daily operations of all CIG Motors service centres, ensuring compliance with manufacturer standards and HSE regulations.
• Manage warranty claim processes and coordinate with OEMs for timely recovery.
• Drive customer satisfaction initiatives, achieve CSI and FTFR targets, and handle escalated complaints.
• Lead, mentor and evaluate service managers, technicians and support staff.
• Collaborate with the Parts Department to maintain optimal inventory levels and minimise downtime.
• Provide regular performance reports to the Executive Director and propose new business opportunities.

Required profile

• Proven senior leadership experience in automotive aftersales or workshop management.
• Strong commercial acumen with a track record of meeting revenue and profitability goals.
• Excellent understanding of diagnostic procedures, repair quality standards and warranty processes.
• Ability to manage large teams, drive performance and foster a culture of operational excellence.
