Engineer II – Maintenance & Facilities

About the role

The Engineer II provides on‑site maintenance and repair services for a hotel, ensuring guest rooms and facilities operate smoothly. Working with minimal supervision, the role combines preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and quick response to guest repair requests.

Key responsibilities

• Respond to and resolve guest repair requests across mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.
• Perform preventive maintenance on tools, equipment, HVAC, and building systems.
• Inspect, lubricate, and clean tools and machinery; manage inventory and requisition parts.
• Identify, locate, and operate shut‑off valves for equipment and building systems.
• Communicate daily activities and issues to subsequent shifts using approved procedures.
• Execute mid‑level troubleshooting of MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing) systems and perform Engineer on Duty duties.
• Train and mentor junior engineers and assist with Engineer on Duty responsibilities.

Required profile

• Ability to work independently with little supervision.
• Strong knowledge of safety procedures, including Lockout/Tagout.
• Professional appearance and adherence to company policies.
• Willingness to perform a variety of hands‑on tasks in a hospitality environment.
