Cybersecurity Officer

About the role
We are looking for a Cybersecurity Officer to protect our digital assets in Lagos. The role involves safeguarding networks, data, and systems against cyber threats while supporting the hospitality operations of E‑direct.
Key responsibilities
- Deploy and manage firewalls, encryption, and antivirus solutions to block unauthorized access and malware.
- Define and enforce data‑access policies to keep sensitive information secure.
- Monitor network traffic continuously, using a SIEM platform to detect suspicious activity.
- Respond to security incidents, contain breaches, investigate root causes, and restore services.
- Perform regular software patching and conduct penetration testing to identify and remediate vulnerabilities.
- Set up and maintain a centralized security monitoring dashboard (e.g., Wazuh) for real‑time logging and analysis.
Required profile
- BSc degree in a relevant field.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar cybersecurity role.
