Chief Operations Officer (COO) – Oil & Gas Services

About the role

We are looking for a strategic Chief Operations Officer to lead the operational functions of our oil & gas service business. The COO will partner with the executive team to drive efficiency, profitability and sustainable growth across logistics, project delivery and HSE compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute operational strategies aligned with corporate objectives.
• Oversee delivery of oil & gas support services, projects and contracts.
• Drive cost optimisation, process improvement and operational efficiency.
• Manage logistics, procurement, fleet and supply‑chain operations.
• Ensure strict adherence to HSE standards, industry regulations and internal policies.
• Establish SOPs, quality management systems and support ISO certification.
• Collaborate on tender submissions, capital raising, joint ventures and expansion initiatives.
• Mentor and coach staff to enhance technical competence and align with company values.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Operations Management or related field; MBA or professional certification is a plus.
• 10–15 years of experience in oil & gas operations, with at least 5 years in senior management.
• Proven track record in logistics, project management and HSE compliance.
• Strong leadership, negotiation and decision‑making abilities.
• Willingness to travel frequently.

• Experience using CMMS platforms.
• Knowledge of project management software.
• Strong IT and data analysis capabilities for operational decisions.
• In‑depth understanding of HSE standards and regulatory compliance.
