Account Officer – Financial Transactions & Reporting

About the role

We are seeking an Account Officer to manage the company's financial transactions, reporting and bookkeeping in Lagos.

Key responsibilities

• Assist with research, filing, data entry and maintain accurate financial records.
• Prepare financial reports such as balance sheets, income statements, invoices and related documents.
• Communicate with vendors regarding payments and refunds.
• Track payments for tax preparation and follow up on returns.
• Report on the company’s financial health and liquidity.
• Cross‑check posting accuracy of pay slips and invoices.
• Coordinate tax remittances and collect clearance certificates on time.
• Handle sensitive and confidential information with integrity.
• Ensure proper bookkeeping and monitor discrepancies in payments.

Required profile

• Degree in Accounting or a related field with 1‑3 years of experience.
• Knowledge of accounting practices and strong numeracy skills.
• Professional certification (ICAN, ACCA or equivalent) is an advantage.
• Ability to prepare financial statements and analyze data.
• Proficiency with accounting software and Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
• Must be 30 years old or younger at the time of application.
