Welding Inspector – Contract (Hybrid) – Rivers, Nigeria

About the role

Oilserv Limited is seeking a qualified Welding Inspector to ensure the quality and integrity of welded joints on its pipeline and construction projects in Rivers, Nigeria. The role is contract‑based and operates in a hybrid work mode, combining on‑site inspections with remote reporting.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct visual inspections, measurements and non‑destructive testing (NDT) of pipeline materials, components and welded joints.
• Verify installation accuracy, alignment and compliance with project specifications and industry standards.
• Prepare detailed inspection reports, record test data and document any deviations or corrective actions.
• Ensure adherence to codes such as ASME and API, as well as safety and environmental regulations.
• Participate in internal and external quality audits and support implementation of corrective and preventive actions.
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, contractors and other stakeholders to address quality issues.
• Stay current with industry trends, best practices and emerging inspection technologies.
• Identify process improvement opportunities and contribute to lessons‑learned sessions.

Required profile

• Proven experience in welding inspection and quality control for pipeline or construction projects.
• Familiarity with relevant industry codes and standards (ASME, API).
• Ability to produce clear, accurate documentation and communicate findings effectively.
