Warehouse Assistant – Logistics Support

About the role

The Warehouse Assistant will support daily warehouse operations in Yobe State, ensuring accurate receipt, storage, and issuance of goods. Reporting to the Senior Supply Officer, the role contributes to efficient project delivery and compliance with ACF procedures.

Key responsibilities

• Receive, inspect and verify incoming and outgoing goods, report any discrepancies, and maintain accurate inventory records.
• Conduct monthly physical counts, monitor stock levels, manage expiry dates, and prepare inventory and SFU reports.
• Maintain clean, secure, and well‑ventilated warehouse conditions, monitor temperature and humidity, and ensure proper segregation of food, pharmaceuticals and hazardous items.
• Prepare and process dispatch documentation, coordinate deliveries, and archive records according to organisational procedures.
• Supervise casual labour, oversee loading/unloading, manage attendance records and act as backup during staff absences.

Required profile

• Higher National Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management or related field.
• Minimum 1 year experience in warehouse operations, preferably in a humanitarian or NGO setting.
• Ability to work in remote, potentially insecure environments and maintain high integrity and professionalism.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word.
• Experience with ERP or stock management platforms such as LINK.
