Temple Facilities Manager 2

About the role

The Temple Facilities Manager 2 ensures that the temple environment reflects its beauty, cleanliness, and sacred nature while upholding standards set by senior leadership. This role provides functional leadership to facilities, custodial, grounds, and security teams across one primary temple and up to four smaller temples.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and manage 10‑20 employees, including Assistant Facilities Managers, custodial staff, grounds crew, and security personnel.
• Oversee capital expenditure and renovation projects, handling inspections, compliance, permitting, schedule monitoring, and coordination of furniture and material deliveries.
• Maintain the temple complex (approximately 70,000 sq ft) and ancillary buildings, ensuring standards are met during peak usage and when closed.
• Develop and execute the annual facilities plan, managing operational costs, preventative maintenance, and repairs of electrical, mechanical, audiovisual, and computer systems.
• Communicate regularly with the Temple President, priesthood leaders, local government, architects, and contractors, providing status reports and ensuring projects conform to design specifications.

Required profile

• Four‑year degree in facilities management, building industry, project management or related field; Master’s preferred.
• Minimum six years of facilities management experience (or ten years combined education and experience).
• Broad understanding of boiler/chiller servicing, electrical motor controls, audiovisual, electrical distribution, and plumbing systems.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in professional English and a professional appearance.
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 lb, sit for long periods, hold a valid driver’s license, and maintain a current passport.
