Site Operations Officer - Drilling and Survey Sites

About the role

A full-time Site Operations Officer is sought for active drilling and survey sites, serving as the main liaison for project management. The role offers hands-on experience in field engineering and drilling, overseeing daily site operations, crew safety, material deliveries and operational records.

Key responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day site mobilization, monitoring the arrival of field personnel, drilling crews and geophysical survey technicians to meet project timelines.
• Generate daily logs covering drilling depth, geological strata shifts, water strike locations, rig operating hours and downtime.
• Inspect, receive and validate incoming supplies such as uPVC casings, gravel packs, bentonite, cement and fuel against delivery documents.
• Enforce safety and environmental regulations, ensuring all staff, visitors and subcontractors wear appropriate PPE.
• Act as the main contact for clients, estate managers and community representatives visiting the site.
• Capture progress imagery, document technical measurements and submit daily status updates to the senior project engineer and the Abuja-based administrative team.
