About the role
Dangote Sugar Refinery Plc, a subsidiary of Dangote Industries Limited and the largest sugar refinery in Sub-Saharan Africa, is hiring a Talo Operator. The operator runs Talo clarification equipment through the Distributed Control System (DCS) to purify liquor, while carrying out periodic field inspections to monitor equipment performance and verify its operational status in real time.
Key responsibilities
- Ensure all Talo clarification equipment and associated machinery are kept in good working condition.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure efficient operations and optimal production results.
- Operate and monitor Talo clarifiers, pumps, blowers and Drum Bed Filters (DBF).
- Report equipment faults and malfunctions promptly to the maintenance team.
- Follow refinery safety procedures and protocols.
- Comply with FSSC food safety certification and OSHS standards on the production line.
Required profile
- Minimum of a Senior Secondary School Certificate (SSCE).
- An OND or other higher qualification in Engineering or a related field is an added advantage.
- Excellent safety culture.
Required skills
- Good knowledge of DCS operation and troubleshooting.
- Good technical background on Talo clarifier operation.
