Chemical Handler - Talo Clarification

About the role

Dangote Sugar Refinery Plc, Nigeria's leading integrated sugar producer and subsidiary of Dangote Industries Limited, is hiring a Chemical Handler for its Apapa refinery. The role prepares and monitors chemicals used in the Talo clarification process, ensuring correct concentrations, proper dosing and compliance with production, food safety and occupational health and safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare process chemicals for Talo clarification in accordance with approved operating procedures.
• Maintain accurate records of chemical consumption, stock levels and balances.
• Monitor chemical inventory to ensure continuous availability of process chemicals.
• Receive and transfer process chemicals to the production area following established handling procedures.
• Monitor process tank levels to ensure adequate chemical availability for production.
• Ensure compliance with safety procedures and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) during preparation, handling, storage and use of chemicals.

Required profile

• Minimum of a National Diploma (ND) in Engineering or Science.
• At least two years of relevant experience.
