Supply Chain Manager

About the role

Bakan Gizo Pharmarcy & Store Ltd is hiring a Supply Chain Manager in Abuja, Nigeria. The role covers procurement, sourcing, vendor management and coordination of warehousing, inventory, logistics and distribution across the company's branches.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute procurement and supply chain strategies, overseeing sourcing, purchasing, vendor selection, negotiations and supplier relationships.
• Analyse procurement costs, pricing trends, supplier performance and purchasing patterns, and develop strategies to cut costs without compromising quality.
• Ensure timely procurement and product availability across branches.
• Coordinate procurement, warehousing, inventory planning, logistics and distribution.
• Conduct supplier evaluations, market research and cost-benefit analyses.
• Set up procurement budgets, performance indicators and reporting systems.
• Identify supply chain risks and build mitigation strategies.
• Use data analytics to improve demand forecasting and purchasing decisions.
• Work with Finance, Inventory, Warehouse and Operations teams to improve overall supply chain performance.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Logistics, Business Administration, Economics or a related field.
• A Master's degree in Supply Chain Management, Procurement or a related discipline is mandatory.
• At least 7 years of relevant experience, with substantial hands-on experience in procurement and supply chain management.
• Proven experience in a structured retail, FMCG or large-scale distribution organisation.
• Experience studying outside Nigeria is an added advantage.
• Professional certifications such as CIPS or CSCP are an added advantage.

• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, ERP systems and analytical reporting tools.
