Supply Chain Excellence and Systems Lead

About the role

Dangote Industries is looking for a Supply Chain Excellence and Systems Lead at its Dangote Petroleum Refinery and Petrochemical site in Lagos. The role drives operational excellence, systems optimization, digital transformation, data governance, performance management and continuous improvement across planning, inventory, warehousing, logistics and supply chain operations. It has no procurement or sourcing responsibilities.

Key responsibilities

• Supply chain planning, inventory optimization, warehousing excellence, logistics and distribution performance, and port and terminal logistics
• ERP and supply chain systems governance, master data management, supply chain analytics and reporting, and digital transformation initiatives
• Continuous improvement: develop excellence frameworks, standardize processes, lead Lean, Six Sigma and continuous improvement, benchmark against global best practice, and run root cause analysis
• Act as Business Process Owner for supply chain systems, optimize SAP, integrate SAP S/4HANA with WMS, TMS, planning systems, analytics and maintenance systems, and promote automation, control towers and AI-enabled planning
• Performance management: dashboards, KPI governance, executive reports, trend analysis and predictive assessments
• Inventory optimization: reduce excess, obsolete and slow-moving stock, set safety stock, reorder levels and min-max settings, and monitor working capital
• Warehouse standards, productivity, inventory accuracy, digitization and safety compliance
• Logistics monitoring, inbound/outbound flow optimization, port logistics support and cost efficiency improvements
• Master data governance, audit support, compliance with policies and corporate governance, and team training and coaching

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, supply chain management, logistics, industrial engineering, operations management or business administration
• 7-10+ years of progressive experience in supply chain management or heavy manufacturing
• Professional certification (CIPS, CPSM, Lean Six Sigma, APICS, etc.) is an advantage; MBA is an added advantage
• Experience managing multiple priorities, deadlines and stakeholders

Required skills

• Familiarity with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle or equivalent) and CMMS platforms at a user level
• Advanced Microsoft Office 365, including Excel, PowerPoint, Word and Outlook
• Data analysis with Excel or BI tools such as Power BI or Tableau
• Preferred: SAP S/4HANA, SAP MM, SAP EWM, SAP Analytics Cloud, Power BI, Tableau, SQL, Power Automate, RPA, and knowledge of supply chain control towers and AI planning tools
