About the role
We are looking for a talented Staff Writer to join The News Chronicle, an Abuja‑based online newspaper and a subsidiary of Adonis & Abbey Publishers. The role involves hunting, pitching, and writing compelling news features directly from our Abuja office.
Key responsibilities
- Identify and develop news story ideas that resonate with our audience.
- Pitch story concepts to editors and secure approval.
- Research, interview, and gather information to produce accurate, engaging articles.
- Write clear, concise, and captivating news features for publication.
- Collaborate with the editorial team to ensure timely delivery of content.
Required profile
- Minimum two years of active print newspaper reporting experience.
- Based in, or willing to relocate to, Abuja.
- Sharp analytical mind with a passion for journalism.
- Flawless command of the English language.
Required skills
- Ability to turn complex news into flowing, captivating narratives.
