Social Media & Digital Marketing Officer

About the role

Kernels Energy Ltd is looking for an innovative, driven and tech-savvy Social Media & Digital Marketing Officer to strengthen its digital footprint, brand recognition and online communications. This is an entry-level position for people with 0-2 years of experience, focused on managing social channels, producing digital content and running marketing strategies that highlight the company's oil and gas projects, services and corporate milestones.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee the day-to-day management and optimisation of all company social media channels.
• Generate, schedule and distribute posts, including text, visuals and short-form video content.
• Create and run monthly content calendars for consistent digital communication.
• Support the rollout of broader digital marketing initiatives and promotional campaigns.
• Monitor and respond to audience questions and feedback, and contribute content to the corporate website and other online properties.
• Research market trends, target audiences and competitor activity, and track metrics with analytics software to report on engagement, reach and campaign effectiveness.
• Work with graphic designers and internal teams on visual assets and marketing materials, keeping the brand consistent across all digital touchpoints.
• Propose new strategies based on social media trends and carry out other communication and marketing tasks as needed.

Required profile

• Foundational understanding of major social media networks and core digital marketing principles.
• Ability to write compelling copy and create basic digital content.
• Strong verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.
• Creative mindset with attention to detail, eagerness to learn and proven teamwork and deadline delivery.

Required skills

• Proficiency with design and management tools such as Canva or Meta Business Suite is preferred.
