Marketer – B2B Sales & Channel Management

About the role

The Marketer will own and execute the sales and revenue strategy for plastic packaging products across South‑East and South‑South Nigeria, driving B2B sales, distributor development and credit control.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement monthly volume and revenue targets for paint buckets, industrial drums, pails and domestic plastics.
• Prospect, negotiate and close high‑volume supply contracts with paint manufacturers, chemical firms, food processors and agro‑allied enterprises.
• Recruit, onboard and manage a network of 30+ distributors and wholesale dealers across key hubs such as Aba, Onitsha, Port Harcourt, Uyo, Calabar, Benin and Enugu.
• Enforce territorial coverage, minimum order quantities and shelf‑stock availability to maintain market dominance.
• Apply strict credit policies (80% cash‑on‑delivery or 7‑day credit) and monitor receivables to keep bad debt below 2%.
• Submit weekly market intelligence reports on competitor pricing, distributor margins and customer demand, feeding insights back to plant operations.
• Represent the company at regional trade association meetings, market union forums and commercial expos.

Required profile

• HND in Marketing, Business Administration, Purchasing & Supply or a related discipline.
• Minimum 4 years of hands‑on sales and marketing experience in plastic manufacturing, industrial packaging, building materials or chemical distribution.
• Established network of distributors and industrial buyers in the South‑East and South‑South regions.
• Proven track record of managing credit risk and achieving multi‑million naira monthly sales targets.
• Valid driver’s licence, willingness to travel regularly and residence in Aba or willingness to relocate immediately.
