Senior Talent Acquisition Associate – Global Shipping

About the role

Tetra Maritime is seeking a Senior Talent Acquisition Associate to lead recruitment across its global operations. The role will support hiring in Nigeria and internationally, ensuring a high‑class service for senior‑level stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Manage full‑cycle hiring for operations, chartering, technical, finance and corporate functions.
• Partner with hiring managers to define role requirements, sourcing strategies and timelines.
• Act as a trusted advisor to hiring managers across West Africa, the UK and Singapore.
• Proactively source candidates via LinkedIn, industry networks and specialist maritime channels.
• Build pipelines for niche roles such as marine engineers, superintendents and charterers.
• Conduct structured interviews to assess technical fit and cultural alignment.
• Maintain ATS updates and report recruitment metrics (time‑to‑hire, cost‑per‑hire, etc.).
• Ensure compliance with company policies and international hiring regulations.

Required profile

• 8+ years of experience in talent acquisition or executive search, preferably in shipping, maritime, logistics or energy.
• Background in shipping, commodities, oil & gas, finance, aviation or similar sectors.
• Proven track record hiring for technical and commercial roles.
• Strong stakeholder management and influencing abilities.
• Data‑driven mindset with experience using ATS systems.
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced, international environment.

Required skills

• Experience with Applicant Tracking System (ATS) platforms.
• Proficiency in LinkedIn sourcing and networking.
