Senior Highway Civil Engineer

About the role

Dortmund And Company Limited is hiring a full-time Civil Engineer in Marina, Ondo, to lead and manage highway construction and rehabilitation projects. The role covers project planning, site inspection, coordination and reporting, with a focus on keeping projects on time, within budget and to quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and manage highway construction and rehabilitation projects, adhering to timelines, budgets and quality standards.
• Review project plans, feasibility studies and design proposals with the project team.
• Conduct site inspections and assessments to evaluate project requirements and identify potential challenges.
• Review engineering drawings, specifications and construction documents.
• Coordinate with foremen, subcontractors and other stakeholders to ensure smooth project execution.
• Provide technical guidance and support to junior engineers.
• Monitor project progress, track expenses and prepare regular progress reports for management and clients.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree or HND plus a Post Graduate Diploma in Civil Engineering.
• Professional COREN qualification.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in civil engineering, with a focus on highway construction and rehabilitation.
• Proven track record of delivering civil engineering projects on time and within budget.
