Senior Financial & IT Auditor

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Financial & IT Auditor to join our multi‑industry business that operates retail, hospitality and real‑estate assets across Lagos. The role combines traditional financial audit with technology risk assessment to protect cash flow, inventory and lease revenue.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct regular financial audits of cash handling, high‑volume POS transactions and inter‑company accounting across eight locations.
• Evaluate ERP architecture, review user access controls and test segregation of duties to prevent unauthorized changes.
• Audit inventory and asset protection processes, including food waste/shrinkage for hospitality and retail stock cycles.
• Verify real‑estate controls such as tenant lease compliance, rental revenue and capital‑expenditure tracking.
• Use data‑extraction and analytics tools to identify anomalies, duplicate vendor invoices and systemic processing errors.

Required profile

• Chartered Accountant qualification (ICAN, ACCA, ACA or equivalent) – strong advantage.
• 3‑5 years of experience in internal audit, financial controls or IT/technology risk advisory; Big 4 or mid‑tier experience preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, MIS or Computer Science.
• Professional IT‑audit certification such as CISA is highly valued.
• High ethical standards and ability to communicate technical findings to senior leadership.

Required skills

• Hands‑on experience with modern ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite, Odoo, SAP).
• Advanced Excel and data‑analytics tools for large‑scale data extraction.
• CISA or equivalent IT‑audit certification.
