Senior Data Intelligence Analyst

About the role

The Senior Analyst – Data Intelligence will lead data management, analysis, and reporting for health programs in Kano, Nigeria. Working closely with government and partner teams, the analyst will turn raw data into actionable insights that guide decision‑making at facility, LGA, and state levels.

Key responsibilities

• Access, clean, validate, and analyse data from multiple sources such as HMIS, HEFA, and program datasets.
• Develop and maintain performance dashboards for facilities, LGAs, and states, and prepare monthly review packs highlighting trends and gaps.
• Support the monthly data‑to‑decision cycle by identifying performance bottlenecks, tracking decisions, and monitoring follow‑up actions.
• Integrate system data (HMIS/DHIS2) with operational tracking data, ensuring alignment of indicators and reporting periods.
• Engage with DPRS, program teams, and partners to present findings and facilitate data‑driven discussions.
• Identify opportunities for continuous improvement of data processes, tools, and reporting, and support capacity building for government staff.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Statistics, Economics, Data Science, or a related field.
• 4–7 years of experience in data analysis, monitoring & evaluation, or health‑systems work.
• Hands‑on experience with HMIS/DHIS2 or similar health program data systems.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and data‑visualisation tools such as Power BI or Tableau.
• Demonstrated ability to translate complex data into clear, actionable insights for diverse stakeholders.
