Programs Intern – Health & Development

About the role

The Programs Intern supports AISID’s state‑level programme team by providing administrative, coordination and data management assistance for health and development initiatives. This role offers practical experience in programme implementation, monitoring and stakeholder engagement.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the State Consultant and programme team in planning and executing trainings, workshops, field visits and other activities, including logistics, participant coordination and attendance tracking.
• Maintain and update programme trackers, activity status sheets and other monitoring tools, flagging missing information or delays.
• Collect, compile and perform basic quality checks on routine programme data, entering it into designated databases and preparing simple tables or charts.
• Support the preparation of meeting agendas, materials, minutes and action point trackers, and ensure records of stakeholder engagements are organised.
• Provide day‑to‑day administrative support such as document filing, communication follow‑up and logistical arrangements for programme events.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Public Health, Health Sciences, Social Sciences, Development Studies, Economics, Statistics, Management or a related field.
• Completion of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) programme.
• Previous internship, volunteer or work experience in an NGO, public health or development setting is an advantage.
• Strong organisational abilities, attention to detail and good written and verbal communication skills.
