About the role

Our client, a leading pharmacy, is seeking a qualified, experienced pharmacist to join their team in Ikotun, Lagos. The ideal candidate will be responsible for dispensing medications, providing professional pharmaceutical advice, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring compliance with relevant regulatory and professional standards.

Key responsibilities

• Dispense prescription and over‑the‑counter medications accurately and safely.
• Review prescriptions for appropriate dosage, interactions, contraindications, and potential errors.
• Provide patients with clear guidance on medication usage, dosage, side effects, and storage.
• Counsel patients on appropriate medication and healthcare practices.
• Monitor and maintain adequate inventory of medicines and pharmaceutical products.
• Ensure proper storage and handling of medications in line with regulatory requirements.
• Maintain accurate records of prescriptions, sales, inventory, and controlled medications.
• Monitor expiry dates and ensure proper removal of expired or damaged products.
• Liaise with healthcare professionals regarding prescriptions and patient medication needs.
• Support day‑to‑day pharmacy operations and ensure excellent customer service.
• Ensure compliance with Pharmacists Council of Nigeria (PCN) regulations and applicable healthcare standards.
• Assist with stock‑taking, procurement, and inventory management as required.

Required profile

• Bachelor of Pharmacy (B.Pharm) or Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D) from a recognized institution.
• Must be registered and licensed to practice in Nigeria.
• 2–3 years of relevant post‑qualification experience in a retail, community, hospital, or similar pharmacy environment.
