About the role

The School and Hostel Nurse is a full‑time, on‑site position at Lead British International School in Ibadan. The nurse provides comprehensive health services to pupils and students during school hours and within the hostel, covering routine assessments, first aid and emergency care.

Key responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive health services to pupils and students during school hours and within the hostel, including routine health assessments, first aid, and emergency care.
• Manage the school clinic, administer medications as prescribed, monitor ongoing health conditions, and maintain accurate medical records.
• Promote school health and hygiene practices, support health‑education initiatives, and collaborate with school leadership, teachers, and parents/guardians.
• Coordinate referrals to external healthcare providers when necessary and ensure compliance with health and safety standards.

Required profile

• Strong school nursing and health skills with experience in an educational setting.
• Professional nursing license/registration and relevant certifications in Nigeria.
• Knowledge and experience in pediatrics, caring for children and adolescents.
• Commitment to safeguarding and child protection, adhering to school policies and regulations.

Required skills

• Assessment, treatment, and safe medication administration.
• Excellent communication, record‑keeping, and interpersonal abilities.
