Sales Manager - Port Harcourt

About the role

A leading distributor of technology, services and lifestyle products in Sub-Saharan Africa is looking for a Sales Manager based in Port Harcourt, Rivers State, Nigeria. The role leads the sales and marketing team in the Niger Delta region, drives the business and coordinates large deals across all OEMs.

Key responsibilities

• Meet and exceed sales targets for the whole sales organization and develop and maintain relationships with current and prospective customers across all verticals.
• Build strong relationships with current and prospective key OEMs and lead the sales and marketing team in driving the business and orchestrating large deals.
• Make telephone calls and in-person visits to prospective customers, research sources for developing them and write clear proposals and quotations.
• Manage the sales cycle from prospecting to closure, build a sustainable pipeline and ensure accurate forecasting and account planning.
• Develop and implement sales strategies and plans to meet revenue goals, and prepare regular reports and monthly reviews with the sales team.
• Analyze market trends and competitors' activities in the region, and identify and acquire new customers while up-selling and cross-selling to existing ones.
• Resolve customer problems and complaints quickly, and provide leadership, coaching and guidance to team members.

Required profile

• Minimum of 5 years of post-graduate experience in a similar position.
• B.Sc or HND in a social science-related course.
