Credit Sales Officer

About the role

Generation Capital Limited is hiring a Credit Sales Officer in Port Harcourt, Rivers State. The role focuses on acquiring new customers who need business loans and selling the company's loan products.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and acquire new customers, especially traders, small business owners and entrepreneurs needing business loans.
• Promote loan products and explain eligibility, terms and repayment obligations to prospects.
• Build and maintain relationships with existing and prospective clients.
• Achieve monthly sales and loan disbursement targets.
• Conduct preliminary customer assessments and collect loan application documents.
• Follow up on prospects to turn leads into loan applications and disbursements.
• Work with the credit and recovery teams on documentation and responsible lending.
• Maintain records of customer interactions, sales and loan applications, and monitor customer feedback.

Required profile

• Minimum of an OND or HND/Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Banking and Finance or a related field.
• At least 1-3 years of sales experience, preferably in trader loans, microfinance, consumer lending or financial services.
• Proven ability to generate leads, acquire customers and meet sales targets.
• Good communication, negotiation and relationship management skills; strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently, meet deadlines and perform in a target-driven environment.
• Resident of Port Harcourt or willing to work on site.

Required skills

• Proficiency in basic computer applications and sales reporting.

• Remuneration of NGN 130,000-180,000 per month.
