Revenue Manager - Sheraton Lagos Hotel

About the role

Sheraton Hotels & Resorts is hiring a Revenue Manager for its Lagos property (non-local position). The role maintains the hotel's transient room inventory, maximizes transient revenue, releases group rooms back into general inventory and keeps booking windows clear. It also recommends pricing and positioning for cluster properties and oversees the inventory management system to check that agreed selling strategies are appropriate.

Key responsibilities

• Analyze and report revenue management data: compare actual sales with projections, identify trends and future demand periods, and generate periodic updates on the transient segment
• Manage rooms inventory to maximize cluster room revenue and use reservations and demand forecasting systems to control selling strategies
• Check distribution channels for positioning, information accuracy and competitor positioning, and ensure property diagnostic processes (PDP) are used
• Initiate, implement and evaluate revenue tests, and provide recommendations to improve revenue management processes
• Communicate brand initiatives, demand and market analysis to hotels, clusters, franchise partners and owners, and protect brand equity
• Ensure sales strategies and rate restrictions are communicated, implemented and adjusted to market conditions, and prepare sales strategy meeting agendas
• Provide revenue management expertise to cluster general managers, leadership teams and market sales leaders, and coordinate strategies between group sales offices
• Build relationships with internal stakeholders and act as a liaison between the property and regional/corporate support

Required profile

• 2-year degree in Business Administration, Finance and Accounting, Economics, Hotel and Restaurant Management or a related major, with 3 years of experience in revenue management, sales and marketing or a related field
• OR 4-year bachelor's degree in one of those fields, with 1 year of experience in revenue management, sales and marketing or a related field
