Food & Beverage Manager

About the role

A premium hospitality and lifestyle venue in Victoria Island, Lagos is looking for an experienced Food & Beverage Manager to oversee all food and beverage operations, including restaurants, bars, lounges, events and service delivery. The role sits in the Food & Beverage Operations department and reports to the General Manager. It calls for a commercially minded leader who can drive revenue growth, manage operational budgets and deliver consistent luxury hospitality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations of restaurants, bars, lounges and event services, maintaining service quality, hygiene and presentation.
• Manage guest experience, satisfaction and repeat patronage, and act on feedback.
• Develop and manage F&B budgets, monitor revenue, labour and operating costs, and control inventory and wastage.
• Support menu development, pricing and food quality with the Executive Chef, and oversee beverages.
• Manage food and beverage delivery for events and private functions, from proposals to billing.
• Lead, train and schedule the F&B team, handle performance issues and recruit new staff.
• Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene and safety protocols.
• Prepare operational and sales reports, track KPIs and recommend improvements.

Required profile

• Minimum 6-9 years' experience in food and beverage management or a similar leadership role.
• Background in fine dining, luxury hospitality, private clubs or premium restaurants; event catering experience is an advantage.
• Degree or professional training in hospitality or food and beverage management preferred.
• Ability to stand and walk for long periods, work flexible hours including evenings and weekends, and lift items occasionally.

Required skills

• Knowledge of food and beverage cost control and menu pricing.
• Proficiency in hospitality systems and Microsoft Office tools.
• Strong leadership, communication and problem-solving skills.
