Resources Mobilization Officer (Fundraising Associate)

About the role

A mission-driven organization in Borno is looking for a motivated, detail-oriented Fundraising Associate to support its work on sustainable development through resource mobilization. The role suits a recent graduate or early-career professional with 0-2 years of experience who is passionate about social impact and fundraising. You will help identify funding opportunities, support proposal development, engage donors and contribute to campaigns that expand programs and reach more communities.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in identifying and tracking funding opportunities such as grants, donations, CSR initiatives and strategic partnerships.
• Support research on donors, foundations and development partners to inform outreach strategies.
• Contribute to concept notes, proposals, budgets and other fundraising documentation.
• Maintain and update donor and partner databases with accurate records.
• Help draft and distribute donor communications, reports and impact updates, and support donor reports, success stories and impact summaries with program teams.
• Assist in planning and running fundraising events (online and offline) and digital campaigns, including social media fundraising, crowdfunding and community advocacy.
• Uphold child safeguarding, ethical fundraising and data protection standards, and report safeguarding or ethical concerns promptly.
• Ensure transparency, accountability and informed consent in the use of beneficiary stories and imagery.
• Collaborate with program, finance and communications teams and document funding outcomes, lessons learned and best practices.
