Remote CFD Engineer (Contract)

About the role

This contract position focuses on advanced computational fluid dynamics (CFD) challenges. You will work remotely, collaborating with a distributed team of technical experts to evaluate, solve, and improve CFD simulations while providing feedback to AI-driven tools.

Key responsibilities

• Generate high‑quality meshes, configure solvers, and select appropriate turbulence models for multiphase flow, heat‑transfer, and other complex scenarios.
• Review AI‑generated technical responses for correctness, accuracy, and engineering integrity, documenting feedback and explanations.
• Perform convergence analysis, mesh‑independence studies, and boundary‑condition specification to validate simulation results.
• Contribute domain expertise to enhance AI reasoning capabilities in CFD and collaborate remotely with other experts.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Mechanical, Aerospace, Chemical Engineering, or a related field with a focus on fluid dynamics, or equivalent practical CFD experience.
• Proven experience conducting and validating CFD simulations, including mesh generation, solver setup, turbulence modeling, and multiphysics analysis.
• Strong understanding of Navier‑Stokes equations, verification & validation practices, and relevant standards such as ASME V&V 20 and AIAA CFD V&V.
• Excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal.
