Recruitment Manager (Unit Head)

About the role

eRecruiter is recruiting on behalf of a leading Nigerian power solutions provider, one of the largest generator sales and services companies in the country with over 1,500 employees and a West African presence. Due to expansion, the company is looking for a Recruitment Manager (Unit Head) based in Lagos. The role is responsible for all recruitment functions and for implementing the HR and recruitment systems framework and HR policies.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain the recruitment process, including job descriptions, recruitment measurement definitions, regular reporting and actions to close gaps
• Manage and develop the team of HR recruiters
• Design the selection matrix for choosing the optimal recruitment channels and sources
• Explore recruitment and staffing best practices and implement them in the organisation
• Build strong relationships with internal customers and external recruitment agencies
• Monitor and reduce recruitment costs
• Set the social media communication strategy for different job profiles and functions
• Conduct job interviews for managerial and key positions
• Monitor labour legislation and implement changes to keep the process compliant
• Act as the single point of contact for managers on recruitment matters

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Business or Human Resources
• At least 5 years of experience in Human Resources
• Excellent communication, negotiation, interviewing, analytical and leadership skills
• Professionalism, honesty and integrity, with a proactive, result-oriented approach
