Project Manager, AI and Tech

About the role

This 12‑month fixed‑term position will lead a multi‑country initiative across Nigeria, Kenya and Zambia, empowering over 100 content creators to counter AI‑enabled disinformation during critical election periods and supporting broader AI and tech projects.

Key responsibilities

• Lead end‑to‑end delivery of complex international programmes, ensuring compliance with technical, contractual, donor and organisational requirements.
• Manage and develop a Senior Project Coordinator and oversee disbursed project teams, consultants and delivery partners across at least three countries.
• Establish project governance, including plans, budgets, risk registers, forecasting, reporting and financial controls.
• Build and maintain strategic partnerships, serving as primary contact for external partners and ensuring collaborative delivery.
• Lead monitoring, evaluation, learning and reporting activities, including donor reporting and impact measurement.

Required profile

• 5+ years of demonstrable project or programme management experience, preferably in fast‑paced, multi‑partner environments.
• Experience working with content creators, young journalists and the AI‑media intersection.
• Proven ability to manage remote and disbursed teams, develop logframes, theories of change and KPIs.
• Excellent organisational, interpersonal and problem‑solving skills, with fluency in English.

Required skills
