Vision Mixer

About the role

The Vision Mixer will operate the vision mixing console during live and pre‑recorded television productions, ensuring a polished final output that aligns with KOKO TV's brand and broadcast standards.

Key responsibilities

• Operate the vision mixing console, selecting and switching between camera feeds, graphics, and video sources.
• Collaborate closely with the Director, Producer, Camera Operators, Sound and Graphics teams during broadcasts.
• Perform pre‑broadcast checks, monitor broadcast quality, and troubleshoot technical issues.
• Manage on‑screen elements such as lower thirds, logos, captions, and graphics overlays.
• Participate in shift duties, including nights, weekends and public holidays for a 24‑hour operation.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mass Communication, Television/Film Production, Broadcasting or related field.
• 3–5 years of experience as a Vision Mixer, Technical Director or similar broadcast role.
• Strong attention to detail, visual awareness and ability to follow director instructions quickly.

Required skills

• Practical experience with professional vision mixing/switching consoles.
• Knowledge of SDI/IP video workflows, routing systems and signal flow.
• Familiarity with broadcast software/equipment such as Ross, Grass Valley, Sony, Blackmagic Design, Vizrt.
