Programme Assistant (G-5), Temporary (364 Days)

About the role

UNICEF Nigeria is recruiting a temporary Programme Assistant (G-5) for a 364-day assignment in Maiduguri, Borno State. The post covers programme and project support, administrative and financial support, operations and travel support, and administrative, logistics and event coordination. Required profile

• Completed secondary education.
• At least five years of relevant administrative or clerical work experience.
• Fluency in English.
• Desirable: completed technical or university degree in Accountancy, Public Administration, Planning and Management, Public Management, Economics, Social Policy, International Relations or a related discipline.
• Desirable: experience in procurement, travel coordination, event management, knowledge management, contract and vendor management; relevant emergency response, field-level and country-level experience in development, fragile settings and humanitarian contexts; experience within the United Nations or UNICEF.

Required skills

• Strong project management, collaboration and problem-solving skills.
• Confidence in using digital tools and adapting to new technologies.
• Desirable: knowledge of an official UN language or a local language, familiarity with SAP and eZHACT, data visualization skills, familiarity with AI tools.
