PRN Medical Assistant – Flexible Hours

About the role

Marathon Health is seeking an experienced PRN Medical Assistant to join its primary‑care team. The role blends front‑desk duties with clinical responsibilities, supporting physicians and delivering a high‑quality patient experience in an onsite clinic setting.

Key responsibilities

• Escort patients to exam rooms, ensure rooms are clean and stocked.
• Collect and review patient health information, take vitals, perform blood draws, give injections, and bandage wounds.
• Prepare and administer medications and immunizations under provider orders.
• Handle front‑desk tasks such as scheduling, check‑in/out, medical record requests, and coordination of specialist referrals.
• Process test results and communicate them to patients as directed.
• Maintain clinical and office supplies and equipment.
• Participate in patient outreach to improve engagement.

Required profile

• Minimum 1 year of experience as a Medical Assistant, preferably in primary care.
• Graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant program.
• Current CPR/BLS certification; MA certification or registration preferred or required where mandated.
• Phlebotomy experience is a plus.
