People Operations Intern - Performance Management

About the role

Jobberman is looking for an HR intern focused on Performance Management to support the Performance Management Lead in overseeing the administration and coordination of performance activities across the organization. The intern will gain hands-on experience in performance reviews, monitoring employee progress, managing documentation and taking part in broader People & Culture operations.

Key responsibilities

• Schedule and run performance reviews, regular check-ins and appraisal processes
• Keep performance tracking tools and official records up to date
• Monitor the status of performance tasks and follow up on pending items
• Help create schedules, templates and documentation for performance reviews
• Gather performance data and document key points from conversations, action plans and follow-ups
• Administer Performance Improvement Plans (PIPs) as needed
• Work with the Performance Management Lead to prepare reports and summaries, and help draft simple reports and presentations
• Act as a liaison between employees and managers on performance matters and contribute to performance projects and initiatives
• Research HR and performance management best practices and give general administrative support

Required profile

• Currently enrolled in or recently graduated with a degree in Human Resources, Industrial Relations, Psychology, Business Administration or a related field
• Passion for HR and performance management
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to handle sensitive employee information confidentially
• Proactive attitude and willingness to learn

Required skills

• Proficiency in administrative tasks
• Working knowledge of spreadsheet software such as Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets
• Effective written and verbal communication
